Shanti Powa are back! The Big Band from Italy is touring Europe since 2010 and are now presenting their new single “Here we come again”!
Here they come again! Since nearly 10 years the Peaceful Warriors Shanti Powa use their music as a weapon for a better world. That is also the case in their new song, where they mix Reggae with HipHop in the original Shanti style! The single talks about the injustices happening around the world, about the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. But also about human kind heading direction “no return”, because of the negative impact we are having on ourselves & our environment. There is no 2nd planet, we all need to stick together to save ourselves.
The serious topic in the lyrics is contrasted by a funny music video.
Live music meets digitally produced beats. From Brass to Turntablism to Didgeridoo to digitally produced Drums, Synths… Everything has been written, produced, recorded & mixed by the band itself. Lyrics by the singer Berise, while each one of the 11 musicians added his touch to the sound.
The band has already released 3 albums: The Orchestra (2014), Peaceful Warriors (2016), ’Til Insanity (2018). The fourth album is in the making and will be released for the 10 year Shanti Powa anniversary in 2020.
In their short history Shanti Powa have hundreds of shows behind them, performing at big festivals all over the continent from Rotatotom Sunsplash in Spain to Boomtown Fair in the UK.
This summer the band will perform in the UK, Germany, Croatia and Italy, while a club tour is planned for autumn/winter and a large European tour for the 10 years anniversary in 2020!
