TOLYQYN is a three piece rock/jazz band founded by Roland Satterwhite (Moka Efti Orchestra, Django Lassi) in Berlin, featuring the invented “plucked viola” style. The band is defiantly cross-genre exploring rockfolk, jazz, Afro-cuban rhythms, West African kora music and other genres.

Their self-titled debut (2020) was released to critical acclaim, garnering praise across German media. In October 2023 the bands second studio album SILVER SEED was released and in 2024 they will yet again embark on a journey to share their music with the world.
